9.01 To receive apologies for absence
Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Phil Hedges (Vice Chairman).
9.02 Open Forum
A member of the public asked why the Aylesbury Vale is not included within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Chairman explained that the area is not considered to come within this national designation. Cllr Paternoster reported that David Lidington M.P. will be leading an adjournment debate at Westminster on Tuesday 13
th January 2009 on the Milton Keynes South Midlands growth area, which includes future growth at Aylesbury.
9.03 Minutes
The minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 8
th December 2008 were unanimously approved.
9.04 Declarations of Interest
No interests were declared
9.05 Clerks Report
Cllr Hayward and the Clerk will meet to consider transferring the Local Website to the Parish Council, and to consider obtaining a ".gov.uk" domain name.
9.06 Finance
The payment of accounts and agreement of balances were proposed by Cllr Williams and seconded by Cllr Hayward

09.09 Burial Ground
It was reported that all maintenance is up to date.
The Clerk will write to Dr G White to ask for a new layout for the Churchyard/Burial Ground, as agreed at the last meeting. The letter will include a request for methods of delineating the unconsecrated area of the Burial Ground
The Clerk will contact Mr Phipps to advise him of the requirements for the fencing alterations at the Burial Ground
09.10 Primrose Copse, Allotments & Grasskeeping
It was noted that a tender has been received from the current leaseholder; the closing date for receiving tenders is 31
st January 2009. The Clerk will confirm acceptance of this tender after that date, if no others are received.
09.11 Transportation
It was agreed to hasten the progress for installing the Vehicle Activated Sign.
Concern has been expressed about the lack of response from the County Council Member, despite several requests for a meeting to discuss the possible solutions for slowing down the traffic along the London Road.. It was
AGREED that the Clerk will write to the local members of parliament as a matter of urgency, expressing the Parish Council’s disappointment at this lack of response.
BCC is looking again at their Area 7 Speed Review. Cllr Paternoster expressed concern that despite objections from local residents and the Parish Council, BCC officers are recommending that the 50mph limit on Tring Hill should remain. Clerk to send a copy of the speed data to Tony Walton, BCC, who is leading the review.
The issue as to why money was wasted on the kerbing project at Tring Hill was raised. It was noted that the same question was raised at Aston Clinton Parish Council Meeting last week. Clerk to contact BCC.
It was reported that the potholes in Buckland Road were in an unacceptable condition. The Clerk will view this area with the local technician from Aylesbury Vale Highways Dept, and report back
It was noted that a pile of salt has been left on Buckland Village road at the junction with Peggs Lane.
